CHSFL Players of the Week: Week 5 – 2012

The following football players earned CHSFL Player of the Week honors for Week 5:

James Drago, WR/DB, Fordham Prep

Fordham Prep’s senior WR/DB was a force for the Rams in a marathon 40-34 4 OTvictory over Xaverian. Drago had 10 catches for 175 yards with two touchdown receptions of 20 and 4 yards each. In addition, six of his catches resulted in first downs for the Rams. He was also efficient on the defensive side of the ball, recording six tackles and an interception in the fourth overtime to seal victory.

Brendan Femiano, RB, St. Anthony’s

St. Anthony’s sophomore running back returned a kickoff for 95 yards and a touchdown in the Friars 35-14 win over Archbishop Stepniac in a rematch of last year’s CHSFL championship game. Femiano also rushed for 71 yards on 4 carries with a 36 yard touchdown on the ground to improve St. Anthony’s league standing to 3-1 in 2012.

Brett Bracco, RB, Monsignor Farrell

Bracco makes his second-straight appearance as CHSFL’s player of the week. Monsignor Farrell’s senior running back continued to dominate, carrying the ball 19 times for 216 yards and scoring four touchdowns in the Lions 42-14 victory over Mount St. Michael.
