CHSFL Players of the Week: Week 7 – 2012

The following football players earned CHSFL Player of the Week honors for Week 7:

Laray Smith, RB, Xaverian

Smith had 209 yards rushing on 9 carries and scored 3 TDs in a 53-12 victory over Holy Trinity. The 6-1, 190-pound senior running back helped the Clippers improve their record to 2-4 in league games.

Brandon Violante, G, St. Joseph by-the-Sea

Violante leads an offensive line that amassed almost 500 yards rushing against Fordham Prep and over 2,700 yards for the season. Greg Galligan, QB, St. Anthony’s

Gailligan accounted for three touchdowns in the Friars’ 34-12 over Mount St. Michael. The 6-0, 185-pound Cold Spring Harbor native threw a 63-yard TD strike and ran for scores of 30 and 25 yards.
