The following players earned Player of the Week honors from the CHSFL semifinal round:
Naim Jones, RB – St. Anthony’s: Five rushes for 67 yards setting up two scores. He also had six receptions for 89 yards and two TD’s in a victory over Archbishop Stepinac.
Kasim Thomas, QB – Mount St. Michael Academy: In a semifinal win over St. Peter’s, Kasim rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown. He also passed for 145 yards and a touchdown pass. He also contributed on the defensive side of the ball in the safety posiition.
Jordan Franklin, LB/RB – Holy Cross: Franklin had 15 tackles, 4 for losses, as well as rushing 10 times for 41 yards in a semifinal loss to Chaminade.
Sam Orta, OLB – Cardinal Hayes: 10 tackles, 2 INT’s – one of those interceptions was returned for 50 yards that set up a critical field goal in Hayes win over Holy Trinity.
Robert Irimescu, DT/RB – Xavier – 189 yards rushing on 34 carries, 4 TD’s and converted two 2-point conversions.
