The CHSFL mourns the passing of Fr. Philip K. Eichner, S.M. Fr. Philip served as the President of the CHSFL and Chairman of the Principal’s Council for many decades until his retirement in 2018. Under his guidance the CHSFL navigated expansion and the ever evolving quest to represent the needs and competitive interests of all its member schools. He was a champion of football as a way to engage young men and to instill discipline rooted in the Catholic faith.
Fr. Philip was ordained in 1966 and served as the President of Chaminade (1967-1992), Kellenberg (1987-2018) and served as the Provincial of the Province of Meribah (1984-1992).
His guidance and leadership will be greatly missed.
