The CHSFL mourns the passing of Frederick “Freddy” Gallagher Jr. Freddy was a member of the FDNY starting with Engine #290 and retired with Ladder Company #103. Freddy coached at St. Anthony’s for over 30 years and was the offensive coordinator for 13 CHSFL Championship Teams, including an incredible 7 in a row from 2001-2007. He passed away on Tuesday, March 1 as a result of an WTC related illness he contracted while working the pile in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.
