O’Donnell leads Friars’ strong defense in win

From MSG Varsity:  That’s the trouble with rising to the challenge of being thought of as a “no-name” defense. Pretty soon everybody knows your name. So it was cheers for the St. Anthony’s ‘D’ Friday night. Linebacker Kyle O’Donnell led a spirited effort with 13 tackles, including three sacks, and two fumble recoveries, and quarterback Steve Genova completed 17 of 23 passes for 297 yards and three touchdowns as the Friars defeated Holy Cross, 30-7, in a CHSFL game on Homecoming Night in South Huntington. – See more at: http://www.msgvarsity.com/long-island/o-donnell-leads-friars-strong-defense-in-win-1.1632789#sthash.RURmlSvY.dpuf

Xavier’s late score hands St. Joseph by-the-Sea a 10-7 disappointment

From SI Live: In a game in which St. Joseph by-the-Sea and Xavier combined for 81 running plays, naturally the game-changer came on a pass. With Xavier trailing 7-3 late in the fourth quarter and facing second-and-18 on its own 24-yard line, Zach Cilmi heaved a 40-yarder to Malik Fischer, making the grab over a pair of Viking defenders. http://highschoolsports.silive.com/news/article/5758207844912637568/xaviers-late-score-hands-st-joseph-by-the-sea-a-10-7-disappointment-photos/
