Players of the Week – Week #6
Robert Madison (Iona Prep – Sr./QB): In a hard fought battle against the CHSFL #1 ranked St Anthonys Friars. Robert Madison lead the Gales to a 40 to 30 victory over the undefeated Friars. Madison was 32 of 45 with 400 passing yards and 5 touchdowns giving him a QUICK rating of 135.41. Robert missed the first 3 games of the season due to an injury sustain in the summer. Since his return he has averaged 300 yards per game with 3 touchdowns per game. Jeff Karteron (St. Peter’s – Sr./QB): Senior Captain Jeff Karteron led the way for a St Peters shutout of Cardinal Hayes. The senior safety had a school record, 4 interceptions, for a defense that produced 7 turnovers in a 41 – 0 win. Jeff also contributed several pass break-ups and tackles.
