Players of the Week – Week 7

HJ4e67U3_400x400Tyquan Ennis (Archbishop Stepinac  – SR/RB) – Ty Ennis had 12 tackles & one interception on Defense for Crusaders. On Offense Ty had 3 carries for 79 yds & 1 TD in leading the Crusaders over St Anthony’s to improve to 7-0. Ty was a force on both sides of ball . MSG Varsity Mike Quick said Ty was best player on both sides of ball in game.
 Nicholas Cipolla  (St. John the Baptist – Jr./RB):   Nicholas came into the game after our starting FB went down with an injury and performed exceptionally well.  He accounted for 130 of our 270 rush yards in the St. John’s victory over Mount.  On defense Nicholas accounted for 9 tackles.  Nicholas also added a 20 yard kickoff return to his accomplishments for the game.
Jason Delucia (Kellenberg – Jr./RB) – Jason Delucia responded to the need for someone to make up for the loss of Kellenberg’s offensive leader, Jesse Clara.  Clara suffered a season ending knee injury the week before.  In Kellenberg’s win over Fordham, Delucia gave the Firebirds what they needed.  Delucia rushed for 146 yards on 28 carries and caught 3 passes for an additional 24 yards.  His effort included one rushing touchdown and one TD pass reception.
