Michael Cunnion Memorial Trophy – AAA CHSFL League Championship
Saturday, November 23rd (2:00 pm) @ Mitchel Field Athletic Complex
#2 St. Anthony’s v. #1 Iona Prep
St. Anthony’s (8-3) comes into the CHSFL league championship game on the heels of a 35-30 win over defending CHSAA state champion Cardinal Hayes (7-3). The Friars are looking reclaim the championship they last won in 2022. St. Anthony’s will be looking to capture their 16th league championship.
Top Seed Iona Prep (9-2) has run the table in the CHSFL this year with a perfect league record of 8-0. The Gaels 34-14 semi-final win over Chaminade (8-4) advances Iona to its fourth straight title game. Last years last second loss to Cardinal Hayes and 2022 loss to St. Anthony’s has Iona looking to recapture the title they held in 2021. The Gaels are looking to capture the fifth league title in school history.

Joseph Lamas Memorial Trophy – AAI Championship
Friday, November 22nd (6:00 pm) @ Monsignor Farrell High School
#2 St. Peter’s v. #1 St. Joseph by the Sea
Two Staten Island teams will square off in the CHSFL AAI Championship game. Top seed St. Joseph by the Sea (10-2) comes into the AAI championship game having won seven straight. The Viking avenged an early season loss to Fordham Prep (6-5) in the semi-final game 21-6. St. Joseph’s has the chance to avenge its only other loss of the season when it takes on #2 St. Peter’s (10-2) in the AAI title game. St. Joseph last appeared in the AAII championship game in 2019. This is the Vikings first appearance in the AAI championship game. The Vikings are seeking the first CHSFL title in school history.
St. Peter’s comes into what is shaping up to be the 2024 Battle of Staten Island riding a six game win streak. The Eagles two losses were to AAA opponents, Monsignor Farrell and Kellenberg. Both games were hard fought defensive battles that were decided in the last minutes of the contests. St. Peter’s last competed for the AA title (now the AAI) in 2005 and won the title in 2001. The Eagles won the A title (now the AAII) in 2009 and 2001.

Thomas Murray Trophy – AAII Championship
Saturday, November 23rd (11:00 am) @ Mitchel Field Athletic Complex
#2 Xaverian v. #1 Holy Cross
It has been twenty years since Holy Cross claimed the 2004 AA title. The Knights have a rich history in the CHSFL and are looking for the eighth CHSFL title in school history. Holy Cross won the league championships in 1977, co-champions with Chaminade, 1965 & 1963. This years Knights (6-5) team is the top seed and and will take on second seed Xaverian. Xaverian (5-6) lost last year in the championship game to Mount Saint Michael and is looking for its first CHSFL championship since winning the A title in 2015. The Clippers won the AA title in 2006.
